The JSCD Legacy Scholarship was established by alumna Ashley Greenfield. The purpose is to provide deserving dancers currently enrolled in Mindy’s JSCD with financial support to supplement their dance training and education, including but not limited to:
Semester tuition
Costume fees
Summer camps and intensives
Workshops
Number of scholarships and award amounts will vary each year based on need and funds available
Eligibility and Criteria:
-To qualify for consideration you must be an enrolled student at Mindy’s JSCD for a minimum of 2 dance classes, for 2 consecutive semesters and have participated in at least one performance opportunity (Spring Recital, Nutcracker, Holiday show).
-Students must submit a completed application along with a 100-200 word essay
-Students must include one letter of recommendation or nomination from either a peer dancer, JSCD faculty member or an alumni of JSCD. **Alumni on the selection committee cannot provide recommendations or nominations.
Applications will be accepted beginning in November 2023. All requirements must be received electronically by April 20th, 2024 at 11:59pm EST. Funds will be credited to students JSCD billing account or submitted directly to the organization or institution for which they are awarded.
